React read file content from google drive

What is the best way to get the contents of a file through the google api in a react application? I've read the documentation for the get and export methods in the API but I don't understand how the code would actually look like. I have found this good tutorial but it uses google sheets

When I display it, browser gets not responding because it gets a lot of requests. What I need just get a first snapshot of live data.
