Hibernate Persisting Child Table Data even though Parent table Referenced Column Doesn't Exist

0

I Have two entities Account and Customer where customer id is foreign key in Account.

When i insert data into Account, The data gets persisted even thought that foreign key value doesn't exists i.e the corresponding primary key value is not present in the customer(Parent) table.

Should'nt I be getting an error while persisting this data?
