Spring MVC Hibernate database ignore on load

I have a spring MVC application with hibernate.

There are a few databases which this application connects to. One is main database of the application and others are third party databases.

If any database connection of third party is down, the system does not start. Since the database sessionbean does not get created.

I dont mind if third party database is down, as I can show "temporarily unavailable" to users.

I am using XML based spring-hibernate configuration.

Could someone suggested the hibernate or spring property to ignore database, if on startup database is down and retry later?
