The Cuieșd River ( Hungarian: Mezőkövesdi-patak ) is a right tributary of the river Mureș in Transylvania, Romania. It discharges into the Mureș in Cristești. Its name originates from the Hungarian “kő” for “stone”, so its name means “Stony Creek”.
