How to insert into mysql from a dict
I have the following python dict:
data =
'id': 2,
'name': 'tom',
'color': 'red'
Normally I'd insert it into mysql as follows (assuming the columns as the same as the data keys):
cursor.execute('''INSERT INTO table (id, name, color) VALUES (%s, %s, %s)''', (data['id'], data['name'], data['color'])
Is there a simple shorthand way to do the above insert? For example, something like:
cursor.execute('''INSERT INTO table (%s) VALUES (%s)''', (data))
I'm making up the above, but basically what I'm trying to do is convert the dict directly to the db.
