Running/Debugging Spring App on IntelliJ IDEA ULTIMATE 2018.2 sometimes ends up with error - “Error:java: invalid flag: -Xep:PackageLocation:ERROR”

I have recently upgraded my IntelliJ IDEA to version 2018.2. While debugging/running my spring application on editor, sometimes i see below error 
To solve it, please go to Preferences -> Build, Execution, Deployment -> Compiler -> Java Compiler. Select and remove the entry from 'Override compiler parameters per-module:' section

Is it a maven project? Parameter might be taken from pom.xml configuration. Problem is fixed in IDEA 2018.3: youtrack.jetbrains.com/issue/IDEA-196548
