DB structure for file system

Multi tool use
I am building a basic file hierarchy, and I was wondering if the following structure is adequate:
- source_id
- created_on [timestamp]
- last_modified [timestamp]
- name
- parent_source_id
- permissions
owner
file_contents_id [link to the resource itself, if it is a file]
The main thing I'm concerned about is having the recursive source_id
/ parent_source_id
. Is this the best way to have it, or should this structured another way?
