How can I give a docker-compose --scale service a meaningful hostname at runtime?
I have a service I wish to scale to 100 instances.
Each service will start and grab a feed that is identifiable by name (e.g. feed_a1_01). It will manipulate that feed and serve it via tcp.
I know all the possible 100 feed names, but when I scale I do not know which container will grab which feed.
So, Is there a way I can have the container update it's DNS entry & hostname to match the feed name ? Letting me talk to the correct container without having to search for it in some way.
docker docker-compose dockerfile docker-networking
