Embedding Outlook email in Excel
I will have a folder in Outlook with emails or perhaps a folder on the computer where the emails will be saved.
I need to loop through the folder and embed .msg files (including any attachments within the emails) to a tab in Excel. This is for audit purposes so that if someone goes into the Excel file they will be able to open the emails and view any attachments that were provided.

What do you mean by "add the emails to a tab in Excel"? Do you mean embedding the .msg file, transcribing the content to cells, adding a link to a location on your file system or something else entirely? In any case, the question's too broad to get a useful answer here.

Hi there, sorry. I didn't think the question was too broad but I see your point now I re-read it. yes it would be embedding the .msg file so that when someone goes back into the file they can always access the original emails that relate to the file. It would be the equivelant of inserting an object in excel and manually adding the .msg file.

@PaulWhittem If you know how to do it manually you can at least start doing the same (for this part) with the macro recorder to get an idea how to insert an object. • Additionally you will need a loop going through your Outlook folder (there are tutorials for that) and save the massages as.msg
file (tutorials available too) so you can insert them in Excel (use macro recorder to see how). • Use this information to start coding your project. If you get stuck or errors come back with your code and your question (you didn't ask one yet).
