Symbol index out of range file 'cordova-plugin-fcm/FirebaseAnalytics.framework/FirebaseAnalytics' for architecture armv7 in Xcode
I try to use the firebase cloud messaging plugin of cordova in an ionic app. It works nice on android. But when I try to compile it for iOS in XCode I get the error in the title saying:
Symbol index out of range file
'cordova-plugin-fcm/FirebaseAnalytics.framework/FirebaseAnalytics' for
architecture armv7
I'm no apple/iOS/XCode but an Windows/PC/Ionic developer. I use the mac only for the purpose to compile and publish our hybrid ionic apps for iOS and struggle in even doing the simplest thing in XCode.
What I found out and have done so far:
- Choosen "Generic iOS Device" and done everything else from the tutorials (it's not the first time we compile and publish for iOS).
- There seems to be a problem with XCode 10. I changed the setting to use the old compiler (or something like that).
- I have tried to remove the armv7 architecture only to get the same error for an other architecture after that.
I have no idea what the problem is and I can neither find useful information about the error in general (does it mean there is some file corrupt?) nor in combination with firebase.
