Crystal Report logon failed on Windows 10

I just wrote an application with a crystal report loaded by declaring:

private ConnectionInfo crConnectionInfo = new ConnectionInfo();
private TableLogOnInfo crTableLogonInfo = new TableLogOnInfo();
private OleDbConnection conn = new OleDbConnection();

then by having in the Form_Load section:

connStr = @"Provider=Microsoft.ACE.OLEDB.12.0;Data Source=" + dbLocation;
conn.ConnectionString = connStr;
crConnectionInfo.ServerName = dbLocation;
crConnectionInfo.UserID = "Admin";
crConnectionInfo.Password = "";

and then printing the report by:

RptReceiptCash rpt = new RptReceiptCash();
rpt.SetParameterValue(0, GrdReceipt[0, currentRow].Value);
Tables CrTables = rpt.Database.Tables;
foreach (Table CrTable in CrTables)

crTableLogonInfo = CrTable.LogOnInfo;
crTableLogonInfo.ConnectionInfo = crConnectionInfo;
CrTable.ApplyLogOnInfo(crTableLogonInfo);

rpt.PrintToPrinter(1, true, 0, 0);

This worked fine when I was developing it for 32-bit Windows 7 using the Jet 4.0 provider, but once I switched to ACE OLEDB 12.0 for Windows 10 64-bit it kept giving "logon failed. please try again" error, despite the fact that the Access .mdb file has no password set.

The same thing happened for another form with crystal report viewer, whereby a logon message box kept popping up when opening a report. SQL queries using ACE OLEDB 12.0 provider all worked fine elsewhere in the project, only Crystal report is generating the error.

I'm stumped, and reading others' answers gave me no help as their circumstances/server type varies. Can anyone shed some light here? Many thanks in advance.
