Set limit on number of redirections

0

I want to handle HTTP redirections manually in Apache HttpClient 3.1. The instructions on doing so are provided here: http://hc.apache.org/httpclient-3.x/redirects.html#Special%20Redirect%20Codes. In addition, I want to set the maximum number of redirections allowed. I found a little information on that here: http://hc.apache.org/httpclient-3.x/preference-api.html

However, I'm a bit confused about how I can include this in my code. Furthermore, I'm not sure how to check whether the number of redirections are happening as intended. Any code examples? Testing suggestions?
