Keras method imdb.load_data(num_words=10000) takes forever to download

0

I am trying to follow the tutorial which can be found here:

https://www.tensorflow.org/tutorials/keras/basic_text_classification

Unfortunately the method :
imdb = keras.datasets.imdb
(train_data, train_labels), (test_data, test_labels) =

imdb.load_data(num_words=10000)

has taken more than 3 hours of downloading now and for some reason I am getting kicked out of the network. Its my school’s wifi network and I am using my personal laptop to connect.

Is there any way I can download only a subset of the data and carry on with the tutorial?
