Dagger 2 - static instance of the factory
.everyoneloves__top-leaderboard:empty,.everyoneloves__mid-leaderboard:empty,.everyoneloves__bot-mid-leaderboard:empty height:90px;width:728px;box-sizing:border-box;
Why does dagger use a static instance of the factory providing the dependency? In this case INSTANCE has a static lifetime and is not even needed when the dependency is not associated with any scope (proxyProvidesSomeDependency is used in this case). Even when used with a scope, why should the factory of a dependency outlive a dependency or the component providing that dependency? Am i missing something?
public final class FragmentModule_ProvidesSomeDependencyFactory
implements Factory<SomeDependency>
private static final FragmentModule_ProvidesSomeDependencyFactory INSTANCE =
new FragmentModule_ProvidesSomeDependencyFactory();
@Override
public SomeDependency get()
return provideInstance();
public static SomeDependency provideInstance()
return proxyProvidesSomeDependency();
public static FragmentModule_ProvidesSomeDependencyFactory create()
return INSTANCE;
public static SomeDependency proxyProvidesSomeDependency()
return Preconditions.checkNotNull(
FragmentModule.providesSomeDependency(),
"Cannot return null from a non-@Nullable @Provides method");
