handle box shadow like designed in photoshop in android
I want to have a box with shadow in my android project like the image I attached.
It has Drop Shadow and Stroke in PSD but I can't have it in my android xml.
I tried many ways.
using elevation is a bad idea because its only available in API Level 21 and above and of course it is not like the effects in PSD.
and I couldn't make it by layer-list and setting shadows with sequential color strokes!
here is my drawable file :
<item>
<shape android:shape="rectangle" >
<padding android:right="3dp" android:left="3dp" android:bottom="5dp" android:top="1dp"></padding>
<corners android:radius="7dp"></corners>
<gradient
android:angle="90"
android:endColor="@color/shadow_color_1"
android:centerColor="@color/shadow_color_12"
android:startColor="@color/shadow_color_25" />
</shape>
</item>
<item>
<shape xmlns:android="http://schemas.android.com/apk/res/android">
<solid android:color="@android:color/white" />
<corners android:radius="7dp" />
</shape>
</item>

I'd honestly drop support for anything pre-21. Pre-21 is less than 10% of the world's devices and will shrink greatly in the next 2 months (Christmas). Its also a population that's heavily tilted to 3rd world countries that are unlikely to be your target audience. Its not worth avoiding 21's features to cater to them anymore.
