Typescript with mobx: Unable to resolve signature of property decorator when called as an expression

I'm using typescript (3.1.3) and mobx (5.5.2) and I get this error every time I use a decorator, such as @observable
or @inject
TS1240: Unable to resolve signature of property decorator when called as an expression.
What am I missing?
