During a GitLab pipeline process I want to rename a file
In bash I can use this command to rename my target file no problem. As you can see it just finds the file containing the string index and renames the file.
mv site/dist/[index]*.html site/dist/index.html
but in my pipeline it throws an error. I'm sure it's because it's treating * as a character instead of a wildcard but I haven't found a work around.
$ cp -a security/. site/dist/
$ mv site/dist/[index]*.html site/dist/index.html
mv: cannot stat 'site/dist/[index]*.html': No such file or directory ERROR: Job failed: exit code 1
