boto3 DDB scan using ScanFilter?

0

Is this the correct way to compare equality for string attribute values in DDB scan operation. It does not pull the required data from my table however works when ScanFilter is not used and returns all records. (Note that the model and name are the column field names and store String Values). Im new to this and apologies if i'm missing something silly.

I know we can use FilterExpression, but my use case is served best by using ScanFilter.

db_client = boto3.resource('dynamodb')
scan_filter = 'model': 'ComparisonOperator': 'EQ', 'AttributeValueList': ['S': '<some_model_val>'], 'name': 'ComparisonOperator': 'EQ', 'AttributeValueList': ['S': 'some_name_val']
table = db_client.Table("<table_name>")
response = table.scan(
Select='ALL_ATTRIBUTES',
ScanFilter=scan_filter
)
print response
